Cleopatra is a major ally of Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins.
The game portrays Cleopatra during the political crisis of Ptolemaic Egypt in the first century BCE. Bayek, a Medjay, becomes involved in her struggle against her brother Ptolemy XIII and the Order of the Ancients, a secret organization that controls influential figures.
Cleopatra's alliance with Bayek is political as well as personal. She seeks support in reclaiming power, while Bayek and Aya pursue the masked members responsible for violence against their family. The story uses historical figures and events but places them inside the series' fictional Assassin-Templar ancestry.
Cleopatra should not be confused with Nefertiti or Hatshepsut, who lived many centuries earlier. The Cleopatra featured in Origins is Cleopatra VII Philopator, the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom before Egypt became a Roman province.
