In Assassin's Creed Origins, which actor provides the voice of protagonist Bayek?

In Assassin's Creed Origins, Abubakar Salim provides the voice of protagonist Bayek. Salim voices the Medjay of Siwa whose personal story leads into the formation of the Hidden Ones, the organization that later becomes the Assassin Brotherhood.

Bayek is paired with Aya, his wife and a major historical-fiction character in the narrative. The game is set in Ptolemaic Egypt and follows the couple through political conflict, family tragedy, and their opposition to the Order of the Ancients. Salim's performance covers Bayek's dialogue, emotional scenes, and interactions across the open world.

Roger Craig Smith is associated with Ezio Auditore in several later Assassin's Creed productions, not Bayek. Michael Fassbender starred in the 2016 Assassin's Creed film, while Noah Watts voiced Ratonhnhaké:ton in Assassin's Creed III. Their connection to the franchise makes them plausible but incorrect choices.

Origins was released in 2017 and substantially redesigned the series around role-playing systems, levels, loot, and a large Egyptian landscape.
