The protagonist from Siwa in Assassin's Creed Origins is Bayek.
Bayek is a Medjay, a protector and lawkeeper from the Siwa Oasis in ancient Egypt. The game follows his investigation into a conspiracy that threatens Egypt and traces the beginnings of the Hidden Ones, the organization that later develops into the Assassin Brotherhood.
Bayek's wife, Aya, is also a major character and an important ally. Because she is playable in several sequences and has her own role in the story, some players mistakenly identify her as the sole protagonist. Bayek, however, is the central playable character throughout the main campaign.
Origins was released in 2017 and shifted the series toward open-world role-playing systems. Its setting includes Alexandria, Memphis, Cyrene, and parts of the Nile Valley during the Ptolemaic period. The eagle Senu helps Bayek scout locations, but Senu is an animal companion rather than the protagonist.
