In Assassin's Creed Origins, what is the name of the eagle used by Bayek for aerial scouting?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Origins, Bayek's eagle used for aerial scouting is named Senu.

Senu accompanies Bayek throughout the game and provides a bird's-eye view of the world. By controlling Senu, players can mark enemies, identify objectives, locate resources, and study points of interest before Bayek enters an area. This scouting system became one of Origins' most distinctive additions to the series.

Senu's name is not the same as the name of Bayek's wife, Aya, or the name of an Egyptian deity. The eagle is a companion and gameplay tool rather than a playable human character. Her abilities can also be improved through progression, making reconnaissance more effective as Bayek's journey continues.

The series later uses different animal companions. Ikaros belongs to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, while Synin is Eivor's raven in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Those similarities often produce mix-ups, but Senu is specifically associated with Bayek and the ancient Egyptian setting of Origins.
