Kassandra is the canonically selected protagonist for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Odyssey allows players to choose between Kassandra and Alexios as the playable character. Ubisoft’s official canon identifies Kassandra as the protagonist of the main story, while Alexios takes the opposing role of Deimos in that version of events.
The game is set in ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War, beginning in 431 BCE. Kassandra is a mercenary known as the Eagle Bearer, and the story explores her family, the Cult of Kosmos, and the legacy of the First Civilization.
The choice system means players can control either character in their own playthrough, but that does not make the two protagonists equally canonical in the established storyline. Phoibe is Kassandra’s young companion, and Aspasia is an influential Athenian figure; neither is the selectable player character.
