Pythagoras is revealed as Kassandra's father in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
Kassandra discovers that the philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras is her biological father during the game's storyline. The revelation connects her family history to the Isu and to the staff that preserves Pythagoras's life.
Pythagoras is a historical figure traditionally associated with the sixth century BCE and with the Pythagorean school of mathematics and philosophy. Odyssey uses him as a character while combining historical people with the series' fictional ancient technology.
Socrates, Pericles, and Herodotus also appear in Odyssey, making them plausible alternatives. They are historical contemporaries or near-contemporaries in the game's world, but none is Kassandra's father.
