In Assassin's Creed Mirage, which historical city is Basim Ibn Ishaq's main base?

The story behind the answer

Baghdad is Basim Ibn Ishaq's main base in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Mirage is set in ninth-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age. Basim begins as a street thief in Anbar, a settlement near the city, before traveling to the Hidden Ones' bureau in Baghdad and beginning his training as an Assassin. The city then becomes the center of his investigation.

Basim visits Baghdad's districts, including the Abbasiyah, Harbiyah, Karkh, and Round City areas. He tracks members of the Order, gathers clues, and works with allies such as Roshan and Fuladh. The game's design emphasizes stealth, investigation, and movement through a dense historical city.

Basim previously appeared as an important character in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Mirage functions as a prequel to that game, showing his earlier life and transformation. Baghdad is not the same setting as Constantinople, which was central to Assassin's Creed Revelations, or Alexandria, featured prominently in Origins.
