In Assassin's Creed Mirage, which city is the home of Basim Ibn Ishaq?

The story behind the answer

Baghdad is the home city of Basim Ibn Ishaq in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Mirage is set in ninth-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age. Basim begins as a street thief in the district of Anbar before being recruited by the Hidden Ones, the historical organization that later becomes associated with the Assassin Brotherhood.

The game presents a fictionalized version of Abbasid Baghdad, including districts, markets, scholarly spaces, and landmarks inspired by the historical city. Basim is also known to players of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, where he is an important character in the Viking-era storyline. Mirage is designed as a more focused stealth adventure than several of the series' large open-world role-playing games.
