In Assassin's Creed Mirage, Basim's mentor in the Hidden Ones is Roshan. She recruits him after he leaves Anbar and trains him within the organization in ninth-century Baghdad.
Roshan is a senior Hidden One and a major influence on Basim's development. She teaches him the group's methods, including stealth, investigation, and targeted assassination. Their relationship is important because Basim's ambition eventually creates tension between his personal goals and the Hidden Ones' discipline.
Mirage is set primarily in Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age and functions as a narrative prequel to Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Basim is already an established character in Valhalla, but Mirage examines his earlier life. Nehal, Fuladh, and Rayhan are associated with Basim's story, yet none is his principal mentor.
