Roshan is Basim's mentor in Assassin's Creed Mirage.
Mirage follows Basim Ibn Ishaq in ninth-century Baghdad before the events of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. After Basim leaves his life as a street thief, Roshan brings him to the Hidden Ones' fortress at Alamut and trains him in the organization's methods.
Roshan is a senior Hidden One and an important authority figure in Basim's early development. Her instruction helps transform him from an urban thief into an Assassin capable of investigation, stealth, and contract killings. The game emphasizes these classic Assassin activities more strongly than several of the series' large open-world role-playing entries.
Hytham is another Hidden One associated with Basim in Valhalla, but he is not Basim's mentor in Mirage. Al-Mualim belongs to Altaïr's story, and Shao Jun is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.
