In Assassin's Creed III, which Native American character is playable as the main hero?
Answer
Ratonhnhaké:ton
Answer
Ratonhnhaké:ton
In Assassin's Creed III, Ratonhnhaké:ton is the Native American character who becomes the main playable hero.
Ratonhnhaké:ton is a Kanien'kehá:ka, or Mohawk, man who later uses the name Connor Kenway. The game follows his growth from a young villager into an Assassin during the American Revolutionary War. His personal quest begins after threats to his community and eventually brings him into conflict with both Templars and colonial powers.
The name Connor is adopted partly to make interactions with colonial society easier, but Ratonhnhaké:ton remains his birth name and an important part of his identity. The character is not the same person as his father, Haytham Kenway, who is playable in the opening portion and leads the game's Templar perspective.
The story visits Boston, New York, the frontier, and several war sites. Although it uses real historical figures and events, Connor's relationships and missions are fictionalized within the series' alternate history.
