In Assassin's Creed III, which Mohawk village is Connor Kenway's childhood home?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed III, Kanatahséton is Connor Kenway's childhood home.

Connor, whose birth name is Ratonhnhaké:ton, grows up in the Mohawk village of Kanatahséton during the eighteenth century. The village is central to the opening portion of his personal story and to the events that motivate him to seek training as an Assassin. Its destruction by colonial forces becomes a defining turning point for the young protagonist.

The game later shifts Connor's activity toward Boston, New York, and the Davenport Homestead. Those locations are much larger gameplay areas and contain many missions, so they are sometimes confused with his home. The Davenport Homestead is the Assassin headquarters Connor develops with Achilles, while Boston and New York are major cities of the American Revolution.

Assassin's Creed III uses real revolutionary-era figures and places alongside fictional characters and the series' secret societies. Connor's Mohawk identity is an important part of the narrative, although the game is not a documentary account of Kanien'kehá:ka history. Kanatahséton is specifically the village named as his childhood home in the game's story.
