In Assassin’s Creed III, which Mohawk-British protagonist is born Ratonhnhaké:ton?
Answer
Connor Kenway
Answer
Connor Kenway
In Assassin’s Creed III, the Mohawk-British protagonist born Ratonhnhaké:ton is Connor Kenway.
Ratonhnhaké:ton is the character’s Kanien’kehá:ka birth name. He later adopts the name Connor, and the surname Kenway connects him to his British father, Haytham Kenway. The game follows Connor as he becomes an Assassin and enters the conflict surrounding the American Revolution.
Connor’s identity reflects the game’s setting and its divided political world. He grows up in the Kanien’kehá:ka village of Kanatahséton, then travels through colonial North America and encounters both Revolutionary and British forces. His personal goals do not simply match either side’s political program.
Haytham is Connor’s father and an important playable character, but he is not the answer. Edward Kenway is Connor’s grandfather and the protagonist of Black Flag. Desmond Miles is the modern-day character whose Animus sessions access Connor’s memories.
Assassin’s Creed III was released in 2012. Its historical storyline spans the 18th century and includes Boston, New York, and the American frontier.
