Connor Kenway is the alias adopted by the Mohawk protagonist Ratonhnhaké:ton in Assassin's Creed III.
Ratonhnhaké:ton is born in the Kanien'kehá:ka village of Kanatahséton. To operate more easily in colonial society, he uses the name Connor, and the surname Kenway connects him to his father, Haytham Kenway. He later becomes an Assassin under the guidance of Achilles Davenport.
Connor's story unfolds during the American Revolution. The game includes Boston, New York, the frontier, and naval sequences, while its historical cast includes George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Charles Lee. The fictional Assassin-Templar conflict is interwoven with real events.
Connor should not be confused with Haytham, who is the game's opening playable character and a Templar. He is also distinct from Edward Kenway, Haytham's father and the protagonist of Black Flag.
