Assassin's Creed III is set across the American Revolution era and later shifts its focus to Ratonhnhaké:ton, known as Connor. Other major events in the game occur in different years, including the Boston Tea Party in 1773 and the Declaration of Independence in 1776, so those dates should not be confused with the Boston Massacre sequence.
