In Assassin's Creed III, the Mohawk protagonist uses the codename Connor in English-language materials.
Connor is the name used for Ratonhnhaké:ton, the game's central historical character. He is born to a Mohawk mother and a British father and becomes an Assassin during the American Revolution. His story takes him through colonial settlements, forests, and cities including Boston and New York.
The game also features Haytham Kenway, Connor's father, as a major character. Haytham's role can cause confusion because the opening sequence initially presents him as the playable lead before the narrative shifts to Connor.
Connor's original Kanien'kehá:ka name is Ratonhnhaké:ton. “Connor” is the adopted English name used by the character and the common short answer in English-language references, while the two names refer to the same protagonist.
