In Assassin’s Creed II, the Palazzo Auditore is in Florence.
The Palazzo Auditore is the family home of Ezio Auditore in the Tuscan city of Florence. It becomes an important location after Ezio’s father and brothers are executed, leaving Ezio and his mother and sister to confront the consequences of the conspiracy. The building is located in the fictionalized Renaissance version of the city’s San Gimignano district area within the game world.
Florence is one of the first major cities visited in Assassin’s Creed II and serves as a foundation for Ezio’s transformation. Players can return there, undertake missions, explore landmarks, and interact with the Auditore family’s wider story. The game later expands to Venice, Forlì, the Apennines, and Rome’s outskirts.
The Palazzo Auditore should not be confused with the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni. The villa becomes the Auditore family’s broader base and can be renovated, while the palazzo is the family residence associated with Ezio’s early life in Florence.
