In Assassin's Creed II, what is the name of the young Florentine Assassin protagonist?

The story behind the answer

Ezio Auditore is the young Florentine Assassin protagonist of Assassin's Creed II.

The game begins in Florence in 1476 and follows Ezio as a teenager whose family is destroyed by a political conspiracy. He gradually becomes an Assassin while traveling through Renaissance Italian cities including Florence, Venice, and Forlì.

Ezio's full name is Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Unlike Altaïr, who is already an experienced Assassin at the beginning of the original game, Ezio's story emphasizes his transformation from nobleman to master Assassin.

Ezio later headlines Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Revelations. Together, these three games are commonly called the Ezio trilogy, although each has a distinct setting and historical focus.
