In Assassin's Creed II, Ezio Auditore inherits Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni.
The villa is the Auditore family residence in Tuscany and becomes a major base of operations after Ezio leaves Florence. Players can renovate the settlement by improving buildings, shops, defenses, and surrounding facilities. Those upgrades increase the income that Ezio can collect from the villa's treasury.
Villa Auditore is more than a home: it functions as a management and progression hub. Ezio returns there between missions, and the location connects several systems, including codex pages, weapon improvements, armor, and economic upgrades. Monteriggioni itself is a real medieval hill town in Tuscany, although the game's villa and its detailed role in Ezio's life are fictional. The location should not be confused with Florence, Venice, or the Medici family’s real residences.
