In Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, Shao Jun is the playable Assassin protagonist.
Shao Jun is a Chinese Assassin who returns to China after training with Ezio Auditore. The game follows her attempt to rebuild the Chinese Brotherhood and confront the Eight Tigers, a group connected to the Templar-aligned Eight Tigers society. Its events take place during the sixteenth century, amid the Ming dynasty's political upheaval.
Chronicles: China is a side-scrolling stealth game rather than a conventional open-world entry. That format changes movement and combat, but the story still uses recognizable series elements such as Eagle Vision, assassination tools, and the Assassin–Templar conflict. Shao Jun is distinct from Aveline de Grandpré, who stars in Liberation, and from Arbaaz Mir, the protagonist of Chronicles: India.
