In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, who becomes the leader of the Roman Borgia Templars?

The story behind the answer

In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Cesare Borgia becomes the leader of the Roman Borgia Templars.

Cesare is the primary antagonist of Brotherhood and commands the Borgia forces in Rome. He is the son of Rodrigo Borgia, who appears in the previous game as Pope Alexander VI and as the Templar Grand Master known as the Spaniard. Brotherhood shifts the main Borgia threat toward Cesare's military ambition and desire for power.

Ezio works to rebuild the Roman Assassin Brotherhood while weakening Cesare's influence throughout the city. The campaign combines assassinations, liberation missions, political alliances, and the recruitment of new Assassins. Cesare's forces control much of Rome at the beginning of the story.

Cesare Borgia was a real Renaissance military leader and the son of Pope Alexander VI. The game dramatizes his life and gives him a larger role in the secret-war mythology. Rodrigo remains a major figure, but he is not the character who leads the Roman Borgia military campaign in Brotherhood.
