In Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Edward Kenway's main pirate ship is the Jackdaw.
Edward acquires the vessel early in the Caribbean adventure and uses it to explore seas around Havana, Nassau, Kingston, and numerous smaller islands. The Jackdaw can be upgraded with stronger hull armor, heavier weapons, improved storage, and better sailing performance. Ship customization and naval combat are central parts of the game.
The Jackdaw is often confused with ships from other Assassin's Creed games. The Aquila belongs to Assassin's Creed III and is associated with Connor, while the Morrigan is Shay Cormac's ship in Assassin's Creed Rogue. Black Flag's setting, pirate cast, and open-water exploration make the Jackdaw one of the series' most recognizable vessels.
