In Assassin's Creed (2007), what is the first name of the Assassin protagonist Ibn-La'Ahad?

The story behind the answer

The Assassin's Creed (2007) protagonist Ibn-La'Ahad is named Altaïr.

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is the central playable character in the first Assassin's Creed game. He is a Syrian Assassin operating during the Third Crusade, and his name is commonly rendered as Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, meaning “The Flying One, Son of Nobody” in the game's fictionalized naming tradition.

At the beginning of the story, Altaïr's arrogance causes him to lose his rank and equipment. His mentor, Al Mualim, orders him to eliminate several influential targets in the Holy Land. These missions lead Altaïr to question the conflict between the Assassins and Templars rather than simply accepting either side's claims.

Altaïr also appears in later series material, including Assassin's Creed: Revelations, where his life is connected to Ezio Auditore's story. He is distinct from Ezio, Connor Kenway, and other later protagonists, each of whom belongs to a different historical period.
