In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Ron Burgundy goes to work in New York City. The film opens in 1979 with Ron and Veronica Corningstone working as married co-anchors for a prestigious New York news network.

Ron’s career takes a sharp turn when their boss promotes Veronica to full-time nightly anchor and fires Ron because of his increasingly sloppy on-air performance.
