How many wins did Yoshinobu Yamamoto record in the 2025 World Series?

The story behind the answer

Yoshinobu Yamamoto recorded three wins in the 2025 World Series. The Dodgers ace won Games 2 and 6 as a starter, then returned in Game 7 to record the victory after Los Angeles rallied in extra innings.

His Game 2 performance was especially notable: Yamamoto threw a complete game, allowing only one run while leading the Dodgers to a 3–1 victory. In Game 6, he worked six innings and allowed one run as Los Angeles forced a decisive seventh game in Toronto.

Yamamoto then pitched the final innings of Game 7 after throwing 96 pitches the previous day. His three victories were the most in the Series and helped earn him the World Series Most Valuable Player Award. He became the first pitcher credited with three road wins in one World Series and joined Randy Johnson as only the second pitcher since 1968 to win three games in a Series.
