Mario Kart World had 30 traditional courses at launch.
These courses are the familiar lap-based destinations used for standard racing. They are distinct from the numerous intermission or route sections that connect locations across the game’s larger world.
At launch, online random play initially offered traditional three-lap races around one of the 30 courses. A later update added 202 intermission courses to that random option, which changed how often players encountered highway-style connecting sections.
The figure applies to the launch course selection and should not be confused with the game’s total number of possible roads, routes, missions, or later-added content. Mario Kart World’s open-world structure makes its overall driving space much larger than the traditional-course count suggests.
