Pokémon Pokopia included 300 Pokémon at its original release.
The launch roster was selected from Generations I through IX, giving the game a broad cross-section of Pokémon rather than limiting it to the original Kanto Pokédex. These Pokémon are used in the game’s habitat and friendship systems, where players create suitable environments to attract them.
The number can become confusing because later content expanded the roster. The first part of the paid expansion pass, Bubbly Basin, added more Pokémon after launch, and in-game events also introduced additional species. Therefore, 300 refers specifically to the base game at release, not necessarily the total available in every later version.
Pokopia’s Pokémon are not primarily collected for conventional battles. Instead, they help Ditto develop the world, teach moves, populate habitats, and contribute to the game’s relaxed social-simulation loop. The launch total is therefore both a roster count and an indication of the game’s unusually broad habitat-focused cast.
