Pokémon Pokopia sold 1 million units in Japan during its first four days.
Nintendo’s announcement placed that figure inside a worldwide opening total of more than 2.2 million units. Both figures covered physical and digital versions of the Nintendo Switch 2 game, and both referred to the period immediately after the March 5, 2026 launch.
The Japanese figure is not the worldwide total: 2.2 million was the global number, while 1 million was the portion sold in Japan. Later reports recorded higher cumulative totals, including 4 million worldwide in March and more than 5 million after just over four months.
