The game allows a player to invite others to visit and spend time in their created world. This supports the title’s social-simulation identity, since the shared experience focuses on exploring spaces, viewing creations, and enjoying life with Pokémon rather than competing in a conventional battle mode.
The number four includes the host and the visiting players in the simultaneous session. It is therefore different from saying that four visitors can join one host. Multiplayer descriptions commonly state that the game supports up to four players at once.
Pokopia supports visits through local wireless and online play. Nintendo Switch Online is required for the game’s online features, while local play has its own hardware and connection requirements.
