How many players can join one Pokémon Pokopia session at the same time?

A Pokémon Pokopia session can include up to four players at the same time.

The multiplayer design lets visitors join another player’s world and take part in the game’s building and social activities. Each visiting player can bring a Pokémon along, making the shared experience larger than a simple two-player mode.

Pokopia supports both local wireless play and online play. Nintendo’s GameShare feature also allows a friend without the game to participate under the relevant session conditions, although additional systems and requirements apply.

The maximum is four simultaneous players, not four Pokémon total. The player count is sometimes confused with the number of Pokémon a visitor may bring or with the number of systems needed for multiplayer. The defining trivia fact is the session limit: four players can share the activity together.
