How many players can join Assassin’s Creed Unity’s cooperative missions?

The story behind the answer

Assassin’s Creed Unity’s cooperative missions can be played by up to four players.

Released in 2014, Unity introduced dedicated cooperative missions in which players control Arno Dorian and work together as members of the Assassin Brotherhood. The missions support online groups of up to four people, allowing participants to coordinate movement, combat, stealth, and objectives across revolutionary Paris.

This multiplayer structure is different from the single-player campaign, which follows Arno alone. Cooperative missions include activities such as heists and Brotherhood assignments, and players can use customized equipment and skills while working as a team.

The game’s cooperative mode is often confused with ordinary online competitive multiplayer. Unity’s multiplayer is cooperative rather than a player-versus-player mode. It is also distinct from the later series entries that focused primarily on solo campaigns or optional online features. The four-player limit refers to the cooperative mission party, not to the total number of characters that may appear in a mission.
