Up to four players can enjoy Pokémon Pokopia’s town together.
Pokopia supports multiplayer visits in which players can meet and spend time in the same town. The game’s promotional material describes local wireless and online options, giving players more than one way to share their Pokémon-building space.
The host can invite up to three other players, making four participants in total. Each visiting player can also bring a Pokémon along, adding a social element to the town’s activities and construction projects.
This total is sometimes confused with the number of Pokémon a player can have nearby or with the number of players supported by other Nintendo life-simulation games. Pokopia’s four-player figure refers to simultaneous participants in one shared town. Online play requires the relevant Nintendo Account, internet access, and Nintendo Switch Online conditions described by Nintendo.
