Pokémon Pokopia can invite up to three other players to visit together.
That means a host can play with three additional visitors, creating a four-player session in total. Visitors can spend time in the host’s developing world and participate in the game’s social, creative, and exploration-oriented activities.
The number is easy to confuse with the total number of people present. The wording “up to three other players” describes guests rather than the host, so the maximum group size is four players including the person whose world is being visited.
Pokopia supports local wireless and online multiplayer. Its promotional material also describes GameShare, which can let a player invite someone who does not own the game, subject to the relevant Nintendo system and service requirements. Multiplayer is an optional social layer; Pokopia can still be played as a single-player game.
