Eight NFL teams receive new Rivalry Uniforms in Madden NFL 27.
The Rivalry Uniforms are part of the game’s presentation and authenticity program. EA Sports describes them as a partnership with the NFL highlighting eight teams’ new rivalry-themed uniforms. These uniforms are designed to give selected matchups a distinct visual identity and to reflect the importance of rivalries in the league.
The number eight refers to the teams included in this specific Rivalry Uniform initiative. It does not mean that the NFL has only eight rivalries, nor does it describe the number of uniforms available across every team. Madden NFL 27 also includes other uniform updates, such as new looks for the Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders.
Rivalry presentation sits alongside stadium traditions, broadcast packages, local kickoff times, dynamic lighting, and changing weather. Together, these features aim to make games feel more connected to real NFL Sundays.
