Madden NFL 27 calls its evolving Ultimate Team player items Evos.
Evos are designed to transform and enhance players over time. Depending on the item, an Evo can raise maximum overall rating, unlock an upgrade path, add or improve abilities, expand chemistry options, or change an archetype.
Some Evos can be chained together, extending a player's usefulness across multiple stages of a roster's development. Others are self-contained, giving users a more limited but focused progression experience.
Evos are not the same as Skill Points. Skill Points are a resource attached to specific player items and can be earned through gameplay or objectives, while Evos describe the upgrade-oriented item system itself. The short name “Evos” is the official label used in Madden NFL 27’s Ultimate Team materials.
