Tiger Woods has won five Masters titles. His victories came in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019.
Woods made his first Masters win one of golf’s most dominant performances. In 1997, at age 21, he finished at 18-under-par and won by 12 strokes, setting tournament records for both score relative to par and margin of victory at the time. He also became the youngest Masters champion in history.
His next two victories came in 2001 and 2002, making him the first golfer to hold all four professional major championships at once—the achievement known as the “Tiger Slam.” In 2005, Woods defeated Chris DiMarco in a playoff after an iconic chip-in on the 16th hole during the final round.
Woods’ fifth green jacket arrived in 2019, 14 years after his previous Masters victory. That win was especially significant because it followed multiple back surgeries and marked his first major championship victory since the 2008 U.S. Open. Jack Nicklaus remains the record-holder with six Masters titles, one more than Woods.
