Two London derbies were scheduled in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
The first was Brentford versus Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 22 August. The second was Fulham versus Chelsea on Monday 24 August. Both fixtures were listed with the London club as the home side.
London supplied six Premier League clubs for the season: Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur. Because those clubs were distributed across the opening draw, only two of the ten first-round fixtures were meetings between London teams.
The other London clubs began against opponents from outside the capital. Arsenal hosted Coventry City, Crystal Palace travelled to Everton and Tottenham’s fixture was the Brentford derby; the opening-round list did not pair Arsenal with another London club.
