Lamborghini produced 9 Veneno roadsters.
The Veneno was a limited-production supercar based on the Aventador and created to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. It was introduced in 2013, while the open-top roadster variant followed later. Unlike the coupé, the roadster emphasized dramatic aerodynamic surfaces without a fixed roof and used additional structural reinforcement to maintain rigidity.
The roadster was unveiled in December 2013 aboard the Italian naval aircraft carrier Cavour in Abu Dhabi. Its power came from a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 750 PS, and its styling was inspired by racing prototypes, with prominent aerodynamic channels, a large rear wing, and a central fin.
The production count is often confused with the coupé total. Lamborghini built three customer coupés, plus a factory-retained coupé, while nine roadsters were produced for customers. Thus, 9 is specifically the roadster figure, not the total number of all Veneno variants. The roadsters could also be extensively customized, making them especially rare and individually distinctive.
