How many Lamborghini Urracos were produced?
Answer
791
Answer
791
Lamborghini produced 791 Urracos.
The Urraco was a 2+2 sports car introduced as a more affordable alternative to cars such as the Ferrari Dino, Maserati Merak and Porsche 911. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, it debuted as a prototype at the 1970 Turin Auto Show before production began for the 1972 model year.
Production ran from 1972 to 1979 and covered several engine versions. The P200 used a 2.0-litre V8, the P250 used a 2.5-litre V8, and the P300 received a 3.0-litre V8. The 791 total combines 77 P200s, 520 P250s and 190 P300s.
The number is sometimes confused with the production totals of the Urraco’s successors. The Silhouette and Jalpa developed from the same general V8 lineage, but their figures are separate. The Urraco’s relatively modest production run reflects its position as Lamborghini’s attempt to offer a less expensive, more practical sports car alongside flagship models such as the Miura.
