Kinley Rasmus recorded five hits to set the 2026 Little League World Series record for hits by a girl.
Rasmus played for Phenix City Youth Baseball Little League of Alabama. She reached five tournament hits during a 4–2 victory over Soundview Little League of Tacoma, Washington, on August 25, 2026.
Her tournament drew attention because she contributed in several roles. Rasmus was a two-way player, pitching and playing in the field, while also producing at the plate. The five-hit total was specifically identified as a girls’ record for the tournament.
The record is different from her pitching mark. During the same World Series, Rasmus tied Mo’ne Davis’s record of 14 strikeouts by a girl in the tournament. Those are separate achievements: one concerns hits and the other concerns strikeouts.
