Three goals were scored in Manchester City versus Bournemouth on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
Manchester City beat Bournemouth 2–1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 23 August 2026. Adding the two home goals to Bournemouth’s one goal gives a total of three goals in the match.
The result was a narrow home victory rather than a clean-sheet win. Manchester City were managed by Enzo Maresca, and Bournemouth were managed by Marco Rose during the 2026–27 campaign.
The total is sometimes confused with the four goals scored in Brighton’s 4–0 win over Aston Villa or the five goals in Chelsea’s 3–2 victory over Fulham. Manchester City’s match contained exactly three goals.
