The main Harry Potter film series contains eight films.
Warner Bros. adapted Rowling’s seven novels into eight movies released between 2001 and 2011. The first six novels each received one film, while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was divided into Part 1 and Part 2.
The films star Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The cast also includes Alan Rickman as Severus Snape, Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid, and Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort.
The series began with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001 and ended with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011. The later Fantastic Beasts movies are related Wizarding World productions, but they are not counted among the eight main Harry Potter films.
