The Lamborghini Revuelto has three electric motors.
Two axial-flux electric motors sit on the front axle, while a third motor is mounted at the rear near the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This arrangement gives the Revuelto electric all-wheel drive, torque vectoring and hybrid assistance while preserving a mid-mounted V12 as the central power source.
The Revuelto was unveiled in 2023 as Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid V12 model and the successor to the Aventador. Its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 works with the three motors for a combined output of 1,015 CV. The front motors can independently control torque at the wheels, helping both traction and cornering balance.
A frequent mistake is to count only the two visible front motors or to confuse electric motors with the car’s battery. The Revuelto has three motors but one compact lithium-ion battery pack. The rear motor also performs several jobs, including starting the engine, generating electricity and adding propulsion torque.
