Australian champion Black Caviar won 25 consecutive races.
Black Caviar was an Australian Thoroughbred mare trained by Peter Moody and ridden for much of her career by jockey Luke Nolen. She raced from 2009 to 2013 and retired unbeaten, with 25 victories from 25 starts.
Her wins included major sprint races in Australia and the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in England in 2012. That international victory was particularly notable because she travelled abroad and won despite suffering a serious muscle injury during the race.
Black Caviar is widely regarded as one of the greatest sprinters in racing history. Her perfect record is sometimes confused with the 25-race unbeaten records of other horses, but her figure refers specifically to victories in every one of her starts. She was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2017.
