Coach Chat is a sideline intervention used to help a player who has gone Cold. During a game, the user can select a player showing the cold indicator and use a Coach Chat to settle that player’s emotional state.
After the intervention, the player returns to a more balanced emotional state on the next possession. Because the supply is limited, the feature is intended for important situations rather than constant use.
The number is especially meaningful in rivalry games, hostile road environments, or moments involving a young player under pressure. Coach Chat belongs to Madden NFL 27’s broader Hot and Cold system, which links momentum and composure to performance and abilities.
