How does Zorin die in the James Bond film "A View To A Kill"?

The story behind the answer

Zorin dies by falling to his death in A View to a Kill.

Max Zorin, played by Christopher Walken, is the film’s main villain: a genetically enhanced former KGB agent and industrialist who plans to trigger earthquakes along California’s San Andreas Fault and destroy Silicon Valley. After Bond and May Day disrupt his plan at the mine, Zorin escapes in an airship and heads to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Bond pursues him onto the bridge’s framework, where the two fight above the bay. Zorin attacks Bond with an axe, but Bond cuts the line holding Zorin’s airship. The airship drifts away, leaving Zorin stranded on the bridge. During the struggle, Zorin loses his grip and plunges from the structure to his death. The scene is sometimes confused with May Day’s earlier leap from the Eiffel Tower, but she survives that jump; Zorin is the character who falls from the Golden Gate Bridge.
