Players emerged from right field during the 2026 MLB Field of Dreams pregame ceremony.
The Phillies and Twins walked out of the corn in right field before moving to their positions along the first- and third-base lines. The entrance deliberately echoed the visual language of the 1989 film Field of Dreams, whose baseball imagery made the Iowa site internationally famous.
After the active players and coaches reached the field, 26 Baseball Hall of Famers followed in the ceremony. The legends walked from the warning track toward the middle of the infield, where they were introduced individually before the national anthem.
The right-field entrance was part of the event’s presentation rather than a normal ballpark feature. The game itself took place in a separate ballpark constructed beside the movie field, because converting the original filming location to a permanent MLB-standard venue would have damaged its authenticity.
