Country singer Vince Gill is a vocal fan of which NHL team?

Country singer Vince Gill is a vocal fan of the Nashville Predators.

Gill grew up in Oklahoma City, where he developed an early interest in hockey by watching the Oklahoma City Blazers, a minor-league team affiliated with the Boston Bruins. After moving to Nashville, that longtime interest found a natural home when the city received its NHL franchise in 1998.

Gill became one of the Predators’ best-known celebrity supporters. He has held season tickets, served on the Nashville Predators Foundation’s board, and even handled occasional radio broadcasts for the team. During Nashville’s 2017 Stanley Cup run, Gill and his daughters performed the national anthem before a playoff game, further linking his music career with the club.

The common mix-up is assuming Gill supports a team from his birthplace or the Boston Bruins because of his childhood hockey connection. His publicly identified NHL allegiance is to Nashville’s team: the Predators.
