At which venue did the Dodgers open the 2025 season? The Dodgers opened the season at Tokyo Dome.

Los Angeles began its 2025 campaign in Japan against the Chicago Cubs in the MLB Tokyo Series. The two-game set was played at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo on March 18 and 19, making it the Dodgers’ season-opening venue before the regular-season schedule continued in the United States.

The series was significant beyond its location. It marked the return of Major League Baseball to Japan for the first time since the 2019 season opened there and was the sixth MLB season to begin in Japan. The Dodgers entered as defending 2024 World Series champions, while the Cubs featured Japanese stars Shota Imanaga and Seiya Suzuki.

Readers sometimes confuse Tokyo Dome with Gocheok Sky Dome, where MLB teams played exhibition games in Seoul in 2024. Dodger Stadium hosted the Dodgers’ first home games of the 2025 season, but it was not the venue where their season began.
