At which venue did Queen perform their final concert with Freddie Mercury in 1986?

Queen performed their final concert with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth Park on 9 August 1986.

The show was the 26th and final date of Queen’s Magic Tour, mounted to promote the album A Kind of Magic. It took place near Stevenage, Hertfordshire, as part of the Knebworth Festival, and attracted roughly 120,000 people. The concert was added after Queen’s two Wembley Stadium dates sold out.

Knebworth is often confused with Wembley because the latter hosted Queen’s famous filmed concerts on 11 and 12 July 1986. Knebworth, however, was the final live appearance of Queen’s classic line-up and Mercury’s last concert performance. The band closed with “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions,” followed by “God Save the Queen.”

Although the concert was recorded professionally on multitrack audio, no complete official film of the performance was made. Audience footage and photographs preserve glimpses of the historic night.
